Carl Berg Projects is pleased to present Erin Dunn in her second solo exhibition in Los Angeles in a show titled Salt Spray Garden. The exhibition presents an unusual mix of nature and fantasy in a broad range of media and is a follow-up to her successful solo exhibition, Distinguished by the Swans, earlier this year at W139, the renowned non-profit space in Amsterdam.
Dunn will feature paintings, drawings, weavings, installation, video and mixed media works at Carl Berg Projects in the unusual and large multi-room space (B315) at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Dunn has wonderfully integrated her work into this unusual space which has very distinctive architectural features. Reminiscent of a small European provincial museum Dunn’s almost baroque installation blends magnificently into the space. Dunn’s broad range of work and mix of fantasy and nature creates a cornucopia of imagery that dazzles the eyes as the viewers makes their way through the multi-room exhibition.
The exhibition is a culmination of three-years of work presented in Dunn’s own unique visual language. Dunn unabashedly presents her artistic vision and esthetics often pushing the boundaries of conventional art practice. Her blending of the artifice with the real presents a visual and psychological narrative that removes the viewer from reality into Dunn’s fictional world.
