New York based artist Scott Daniel Ellison will present a new series of painting for his first solo show in Los Angeles. The show titled “Ten Recent Paintings” is a wonderful collection of small figurative works depicting animals and people as both single and multiples figures. Their small size may remind one of storybook illustrations although these works clearly do not come out of the genre of illustration. His portrayals of the figure whether human or animal does, however, remind one of characters from a fairy tale.
